Foster Dog: Diamond's Story
Meet Diamond - our 5 month old superstar/SUP/foster dog! Many of you have already seen our posts about this wonderful girl, but not a lot of you know her story.
At just 12 weeks old, Diamond was found in the back of a bus that had burned down.
She was covered in soot, alone, and miserable. We are not sure where she came from.
She was rescued by J. Tyler, of SUPDog Hawaii, and Ka’a’awa K9 Rescue, who found her. He knew he had to help from the moment he saw Diamond.
Tyler asked his wife, Machi, if he could bring home another puppy - despite already having 3 rescue dogs. Being a dog lover herself, she also wanted to help poor Diamond and said of course.
That same day, they brought her home to meet the pack.
Diamond was a little unsure and wary at first, but she quickly warmed up to everyone! Not only that, but as she came out of her shell, we decided to test her skills on the water. Here is a pic of her balancing on the board (on land).
She was basically a master SUPDog from the very first lesson.
She was so good at it, that we began to include her on our SUPDog experiences! Just this past week, we had a 5 person experience, where Diamond shined so brightly.
Diamond has come a long way from her humble beginnings…
…and we are so excited to see what the future has in store for her!
